Being able to set the handbrake until you started declutching would solve the problem that cue-ball posted. It seems like a reasonable idea, and I do like it, it would definately make drag racing more interesting. However, I have to disagree with Niki. There are times that you have to use the brake right off the start, like when the car ahead of you lags or spins, obviously a restart would solve this, but it's nice to avoid the accident all together and just race.
The only solid stops on the DFP are at 270 and 900, everywhere else just uses the FFB motor to stop rotation. I don't think increasing the forces in LFS will help either, because AFAIK, this is something in the Logitech drivers, not LFS.
Works fine for me. Sorry for my lack of skin and awful driving, I'm on my school laptop using my mouse.
Edited to say. You're pushing in the clutch when you roll down the hill, obviously the limiter will have no effect then, all the pitlane speed limiter does is limit engine RPM, going down that hill with the clutch engaged, engine braking will slow you down, going down the hill in "neutral" basically, the limiter has no effect whatsoever, the car will accelerate down the hill, and go over 80 km/h before it hits the line
oh, whoops. I was responding to Vale, not you. But yes, you can change rotation in the profiler on the fly. I don't even use the logi one, I just use hte windows game controller thing, you can do everything from there and not worry about saving profiles for different games.
You might as well put it on 720, since none of the cars have more than 720 degrees of steering lock anyway, that way your wheel won't continue turning, even when the one in game has stopped.
the FXO GTR makes a spectacular rallycross car with the slickmod and a proper setup, and it's a nice taste of what a proper rally car would feel like in LFS.
Hehe, no, you wouldn't. I said that half jokingly, but sarcasm doesn't really carry too well over the internet. Other than hanging from a basket strung between two poles, I don't know how you could do that, at least not without seeing a ladder or a shadow.
It's happened to me before too, but never on my computer, only on my grandparents. Are you playing with a mouse by any chance? I think it may be you clicking something on the desktop, and having that open. I'm not really sure though. It really only seemed when I was playing S1 with LFSTweak, but I doubt that has anything to do with it.
I think it sounds like a good idea. While I personally race with the HUD on because I like seeing the split times, it is visually distracting. It would also be nice to be able to assign a button to bring up the race order, at that point, I'd just race with the HUD off, and bring up the race order when I need it.
